The task

Design a chat interface for managing customer conversations. While interactions were primarily handled by AI, customer service agents needed the ability to step in when necessary.

The key UX challenge was to effectively communicate the status of each conversation, enabling agents to quickly assess and prioritize multiple interactions at once. Color coding and iconography were essential for conveying conversation states, while another critical aspect was clearly distinguishing whether a conversation was managed by AI or by a human agent.
